About the author

I originally came to the UAE in 2002 on a two year contract and nearly 7 years later I’m still here. It has been a bitter sweet ride but one well worth the experience. In my time here I have learned to "navigate" my way around this very interesting place and I would be honoured to share my experience with you.

I am currently conducting research with South Africans who have gone to parts of the UAE either permanently or for particular periods of time. Would you be willing to assist me with this research by answering a few questions and perhaps linking me with other South Africans whom you know off?
